Pink is not going to let anyone use her to criticize Lady Gaga's Super Bowl performance.
The retractable roof at NRG Stadium opened up just before Lady Gaga started her 12-minute performance.
Wearing a metallic leotard and knee-length boots, Gaga was lowered into the stadium by a wire for a medley of her biggest hits.
Initial reports that the National Football League told Gaga politics were off limits during her show were quickly debunked, with the National Football League telling TMZ Sports,"this is unsourced nonsense from people trying to stir up controversy where there is none". So why couldn't it all be done live? In 2012, Gaga was a guest star on an episode of the long-running animated series, in which she flew over the heads of the Springfieldians on a harness.
So yeah, it was all a Perfect Illusion... Following that came one of her most recent hits, "A Million Reasons..." and she even gave a shout out to her mom and dad.
Gaga's likely to garner even more praise than previous Super Bowl halftime headliners like Beyonce and Coldplay's Chris Martin from past year, as well as pop star and crooner Bruno Mars. Lady Gaga announced a world tour and will be at AT&T Park on August 13 and in Sacramento two days later.
Lady Gaga has scored major touchdowns in the music arena.
One social media user said: "Best Super Bowl performance ever".
She went on to perform some of her most successful songs, including "Just Dance", "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance", and many people praised her on Twitter for excluding any political messaging.
Pink shut down the conversation Monday on Instagram, applauding Gaga while delivering a not-so-subtle dig at President Donald Trump. It was the first time robotic aircraft appeared in a Super Bowl program. Her very presence with compassion and love for all was a political statement.
"Thank you, Lady Gaga, for keeping the Halftime Show strictly entertainment with no politics!"
