That seems impossible, but that's how freaking thin the Cavaliers are right now.

It has been a year and 2 days since David Blatt was sacked and replaced by Tyronn Lue.

Though the 30-13 Cavs are atop the Eastern Conference, 2 ½ games ahead of Toronto, they have lost two straight games and five of their last seven. They are 4-6 in that span.

"They've got bodies", James said of San Antonio when asked about the Spurs' beating the Cavs without Pau Gasol or Tony Parker. And in a ideal world, they'd be at full strength, with J.R. Smith, out two more months following thumb surgery.

Q: Doesn't LeBron James think it is? Matthew Dellavedova excelled in that role past year, averaging 24.6 minutes during the regular season.

Griffin also acquired one of the best shooters in National Basketball Association history-Kyle Korver-to aid the Cavs title defense chances.

Watch James' reaction to last night's loss below.

Even after Cavaliers general manager David Griffin - widely praised for maximizing the assets he has at his disposal over the past two-plus seasons - swung a trade for sharpshooter Kyle Korver earlier this month, James immediately banged the drum for a backup point guard, something the Cavaliers have lacked ever since Mo Williams abruptly retired before the start of the season.

James has been "banging the drum" for a point guard, as ESPN.com's Dave McMenamin put it, after the 32-year-old expressed his frustration with Cleveland's rotation which is bleak at the one after Kyrie Irving.

Let's try to work some magic...

Yet the pull of the organization is strong, and I find myself rooting for Cloud9 over FlyQuest even though the players on FlyQuest are the ones that made me love e-sports.

Or will it be the team that gave up a season-high 143 points at the Smoothie King Center in losing by 29 points to the terrible Brooklyn Nets, who are 2-19 on the road and 9-35 overall? Tristan Thompson is playing more than he has in either of the previous two seasons. Another trip to the NBA Finals this June will be LeBron's seventh in a row - Kevin Durant hasn't played in June since 2012. That's almost 2 more minutes than last season and his most since '13-'14. The superstar point guard went deep into his bag of tricks, making shots from almost every spot on the floor. As a ballclub that's trying to win a championship, we can't have you go from a timeout to the court and forget what you're supposed to do. The real season starts when the regular season ends. In the playoffs, his minutes dropped in each successive round of the playoffs (from 18.1 per in the first round, to 7.6 in the Finals). Another deep run this year and he'll pass Kobe and Kareem.

This is something that maybe holds a little bit of weight. That win marked four in a row over Golden State. The Warriors have a dozen guys who have appeared in 75% of their games.

Obviously, this will all change in the playoffs. Similar to the struggles prior to the additions of J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, and Timofey Mozgov, the flaws in the roster are putting an incredible strain on the big three.

Question: When will the Cavaliers find a veteran point guard? Cleveland is 14-8 without Smith in the lineup this season and 16-5 with him. And there aren't a whole lot of expendable players that may be of interest to other teams. The Celtics and Raptors both consider themselves a player away.

The last time Robinson got consistent minutes was in his 2014-15 stint with the Denver Nuggets.
